Amy's Story:
I came to the restaurant before Myke arrived. He arrived so casually, as if we knew each other already. We talked for hours and sipped sangria. I loved his eyes-they were so gentle. I fell in love with his eyes first. Then I fell in love with him at Studio 54 when I saw him dance. So kidding about the dancing, but I did say I love you for the first time at Studio 54. We keep it classy in Vegas.

Myke's Story:
The first time I saw Amy; I saw the most amazing smile in the world. We had a great first date discussing everything in the world and 3 hours went by fast. I fell in love with Amy at the first event for the Muscular Dystrophy Association I attended. Her heart is so amazing and she gives so much to others. And I thought to myself, she is most amazing woman in the world.
The Infamously Wonderful Proposal:
I proposed to Amy at L'Aterlier, a French restaurant that we both loved. Of course, I had to do it as surprise. So I decided to play a joke on her. I called earlier in the week to make plans with the General Manager. On the night I proposed, I slipped the General Manager the ring for him to put with a fake bill. When the fake bill came I’ve never seen someone give me such a dirty look. She opened the bill presenter and instead of a bill, she found her engagement ring. I asked her to marry me.
Of course, I said yes through tears and a little bit of shock. I laughed at the practical joke, but I'm sure I gave Myke and the General Manager horrible looks. The next day when we woke up, Myke proposed to me again...only this time telling me all the things he didn't get to say the night before.
Our Honeymoon:
We chose to visit France for our honeymoon. It's romantic, fun, and we plan to visit the real L'Aterlier in Paris. We want to walk around Paris, see the museums, visit Versailles, and enjoy each other’s company. Their so much amazing history in Paris and it’s a great place to start our live together as husband and wife. |
