Although Kelley couldn't swing a golf club very well, I knew during our very first trip to the beach that she was the one God intended for me. Those three wonderful words "I love you" were always at the tip of our tongues that day. I knew it. I could feel it in my heart. God had brought the most unlikely of people together. I thank the Lord day in, and day out for her. |
As Thomas mentioned above, I knew on our first trip to the coast that I loved this man. I wanted so badly to tell him but didn't want to be the first to say it. I was so thrilled a few days later when Thomas mentioned he had something important to tell me. We started the evening by sitting outside relaxed in lawn chairs while looking at the stars when he starts sweating, running his fingers through his hair, and rubbing his hands together. When he said the words, he said it with such finality and truth that can't be described. Of course, I came right back with "I love you too!" I immediately had an excitement and giddiness that many women are familiar with. I knew it was my husband I was speaking to that night. God continued to bond us and affirm our relationship until the day when Thomas and I returned back to Avila Beach on Dec 6th. This time with my family for what I thought was a birthday celebration for my sister. All along, Thomas had planned to ask me to be his for the rest of our lives back at the same spot we first realized our love and adoration for one another. I will forever be grateful to God and Thomas for making me the happiest lady that day! |
