| Hello all! Well, today the last of my groomsmen arive, as do my parents, grandparents, neice and nephew. Alicia will be out with her bridesmaids, and it's all gravy from here. I would be lying if I didn't admit to getting pretty nervous at this point. Not sure why, but I guess it's one of those things. (Dammit, we should have eloped, and then done the wedding later. Stefan, you had the right idea!) I am excited to have the scarey part over and done with, and then being able to settle down with our guests. However, it's getting over that hump. I know the day will be here and gone before I know it, and then the apprehension for the wedding will be replaced by the apprehension for spring finals. All will be well. I guess it helps knowing that the ceremony is just making official what I already know to be true. But, thank all of you for all you have done for Alicia and I through this whole "wedding thing" and for us through our lives. Without your love and support, we wouldn't be where we are. Thank you Christopher Kennedy, for your email, it helped me more than you know. All will be well. I will see those of you that can make it on Saturday, and hopefully those that can't sometime later. You will be missed.
With love, WTF The big day is getting closer, and Alicia and I have hit that point where we are eager for the fun part to begin. Last minute things like wrapping gifts, assembling party favors, figuring out seating, paying invoices, getting everything together that needs to be taken places at certain times, and figuring out schedules are at the fore of our minds. We can't wait for the preparation to be over and the fun to begin as our guests begin to arrive and we can see the faces of friends and family, some of which we haven't seen for ten years or more. Again we want to thank everyone who has been with us from the start. A special shout out to Alicia's parents, for working so hard to put everything together! We love you guys!
We will see you all at the big day! Love, A&W Hello Friends and Family! Sorry, I have been neglecting this blog, busy, as you can imagine. By now we have all the RSVPs, and all that remains is a few (nevermind, a LOT) of last minute things before the big day. We feel truly blessed that so many people will be able to attend and so many who couldn't sent their well-wishes. We knew that it would be a long and expensive trip, and not everyone could come, but you have all been such an important part of our lives, you will be there in spirit, by virtue that the two of us would not be the people we are today without your love and support! My externship at the U.S. Attorney's Office has ended, I completed my hours early so I could asssit in wedding prep and get ahead in my classes so I won't have to worry about falling behind or studying while friends and family are here. Alicia's last day of work before "wedding vacation" will be monday. Alicia's family gets in starting Wednesday, and my family begins arriving Thursday night (friends ARE family). We have people coming in from across the country - Connecticut, New York, Texas, Mississippi, Colorado, just to name a few. It means a lot that so many have done and sacrificed so much to be here with us. I love you guys. I will try to post at least one more entry before the big day. Thank you again to all who have enriched our lives by sharing your heart with ours! Wayne & Alicia What a weekend! Alicia was surprised by the arrival of her Matron of Honor and Bridesmaid to celebrate her wedding shower with her! Big thank you to Kristin and Tam for coming down here and making the weekend extra special. Thank you as well for everyone that was able to attend or sent gifts in. Your love and support as we get ever closer to the big day make it all the more exciting. Also, some more big news, Wayne's grandparents will be able to attend the wedding! We are so excited that they will be able to join us! As the big day fast approaches, we look forward to celebrating with all of you! So excited! Our first RSVPs have come in the mail, and we are finishing up the details for the ceremony and reception. My groomsmen have almost all gotten fitted for their suits, and we are thinking on the music choices to supply to the DJ. Alicia gets fitted for her wedding dress in just three short weeks! The days are racing by, and I can't wait for the day to arrive. Every time we talk about it, Alicia's eyes light up. Can't wait to share our joy with everyone who has made an impact in our lives. I only wish everyone was able to make it, but I know they will be there in spirit! Much Love, Wayne & Alicia |
