To those we loved and who loved us who can not be with us. You are forever missed. Thank you for contining to look after us

Jack Trott

I'm sure Dad would be astonished that his wayward son was tying the knot. Jack was a man of great, good humor, incredible intellect and gave me my grounding in jazz and blues. Would even put up with my rock 'n' roll, but hated the sound of electric guitars. I have no question that he and Cheryl would have loved each other, and he will be with us in spirit, as he is in my heart everyday.

Darryl Morden

Darryl was as good a friend as a man could have. We met working together at a bookstore in college. I thought he was kind of dorky, but man, he knew his books. And as we got to know each other, I found that he really knew his music. What I didn't learn about music from my Dad, I learned from Darryl. We were roommates for about seven years in the eighties when I was getting started in the film industry and he was working as a writer on "American Top 40" with Casey Kasem. He and our other roommate Danny helped me hold it together when I was convinced I would never get another gig. It was a rare week when we didn't get to a concert or see some band at some little club. Darryl was taken way too soon, and the day he died was the saddest of my life; I lost my Dad, Darryl and my great friend Matt in the course of six months, but my Dad and Matt were expected. Losing Darryl was a gut shot. I'm grateful that Darryl's wife Barbara is my friend. Every time she posts a photo of their son Declan, I get goosebumps, he looks so much like his Dad. So if you come up to Morro Bay for the wedding, hoist a craft beer to Darryl. He would have done the same.

Karen Callaway and Wiley Callaway

Karen Callaway. Keeper of the keys. The brightest light on Harper Street. One of the people I wish most could be here to celebrate our special day. I met Karen, her husband Wiley and their kids Randy, Dana, Kelly and Carrie (and later Desi) when I was 7 years old when my family moved to Harper Street. She became one of my mother's dearest friends and subsiquently mine too. She was my 2nd mother and I miss her every day. She loved Chris for loving me. She will live in our hearts forever.

Wiley recently passed and is now with his beloved wife. He will always be the man who gave the best hugs and told me the dirtiest jokes. The two of them were quite a force together. One of my favorite memories of them together is when the covered my POS car in trash bags and spray painted RIP on it and "Trash man, please take this". I can still hear them laughing in my head. I loved you both so dearly and you helped shape the person I grew up to be. Nothing but love for them both.
