We were puzzled on deciding what should go on a wedding registry, as we were trying to be non-traditional throughout the whole process. After much thought, we have decided to incorporate our wedding registry with our honeymoon, creating what we call a Honeymoon Registry. Our Honeymoon Registry results in wonderful memories associated with each of you! We will be away on a Royal Caribbean 12 day cruise that stops at Italy, Greece, Turkey, and Egypt. As you can imagine, there are a wealth of activities and things to see at each stop. We have researched a few ideas that we would like to explore and have come up with the following listing. A Honeymoon Tour of Ancient Rome

This is one honeymoon date we can't miss! A day tour of Ancient Rome that consists of an exciting journey through history, stories and anecdotes is a must see!! With our guide we will begin at the Coliseum and the Arch of Constantine, and then take a leisurely stroll through the Roman Forum and the Imperial Fori to the Capitol Hill, ending up at the Pantheon, Hadrian's temple dedicated to all the pagan gods. What a great day!

In this tour, a guide will drive us from the pier through the Turkish countryside along a hilly drive. We will arrive at the House of Virgin Mary where the Blessed Virgin is reputed to have spent the last years of her life. The site was made famous by the travels of Pope Paul VI and Pope John Paul II. In November of 2006, Pope Benedictus the 16th paid an official visit to the House of the Virgin Mary. Outside is the Fountain of Our Lady, providing the faithful water from the holy foundation. This will be an enlightening and spiritual tour for us!!!

Cairo, Egypt: Overland Excursion

This three day excursion will be the highlight of our honeymoon, as we are both looking forward to this unforgettable excursion. Day one we will visit the Citadel of Saladin, where panoramic views of the city of Cairo can be seen. We will also visit the spectacular Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali, the founder of modern Egypt. But the most exciting feature of day one's excursion is our stop to the Egyptian Museum Antiquities where over 120,000 objects in its 107 halls - including the treasures of Tutankhamen (King Tut) - are exhibited. Day two will consist of travels southwards to Memphis, Egypt's first capital. Here we will visit the ruins of the temple of Ptah, the fallen colossal statue of King Ramses the 2nd and the Alabaster Sphinx of King Amenophis the 2nd, among other exciting adventures. This trip will forever be memorable!
