Scott and I are so happy! The big day came and it was a lovely day and the best start of our lives toegther we could imagine. Many many thanks to each of you for making and taking the time to come and be a part of our day! There were a few last minute challenges to navigate, but we did it by your grace, love and particiaption. Thank you so very much - and now - on to planning a HONEYMOON in Jamuary! We both look forward VERY much to a get away to Hawaii where we can celebrate and revel in nature's beauty and polynesian PEACE! The wedding gift registry has been a god send to help us achieve this in and around our everyday life's demands and the generosity and thoughtfulness is so deeply apprecaited. As we get things in order we will let you know and POSTCARDS will arrive from sunny beaches and moonlit smiles regardless.

Thank you again to each of you for making our day the best in our lives together and a dream come true - and with very special thanks to my Mother In Law Dea and beloved John, Rick and Tatiana and Lucas, bro's Matt and Drew, Sistah Windy and Crew (aka Jeff and Dakota), the infamous Jeff Z (who truly saved the day) my beautiful and extraordinary daughter Julia and her BFFs Saoirse, Bonnie and Amanda....and Jody and Mark as Riverwood Resource! and  Linda Oakland for her floral talent and Barb Christ for her referral of wonderul officiant Corky - and ALL of the Sweetbriar families who have made the place what it is, and welcomed Julia and I from the start....Scott and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The big day is coming...its been a blurr since July 4th! Uh oh..and its August...

So this wedding planning stuff seems never ending...still looking for a bag piper....my dress arrived and it takes my breath away! Fitted the brides maids and still have to dress the groom. Had to break it to him that no...jeans would not be ok...still taking late rsvps...the end of my fiscal quarter and the Fourth of July came on like a freight train and Julia took for for a month in Spain all at the same time! Scott and I have been enjoying the alone-time in her absence to dream and snuggle and plan and eat and eat and eat. Scott is a masterful BBQ-er and cook in genenral so this summer has been delicious. ( I will waddle proudly down the aisle!)

The dogs have enjoyed the sun and the long summer days upon us now. I enjoyed a long telephone conversaion with our wedding official - Corky Holden of Redding CA who will bless us and more on our special day, by way of her friendship with Barbara Christ. Scott and I have been polishing up our vows (the word "OBEY" has been mysteriously deleted from his sample texts. Repeatedly.)We want to make it short, sweet, meaningful and memorable!

Beloved Mother-in-Law-to-be, Dea, has sprouted wings and a halo and is orchestrating our caterer local to Sweetbriar. The event is shaping up and a buzz on the beach has begun (I hope!) with high hopes for a wonderful day honoring her hard work and loving set-up while we work our butts off down in Silicon Valley and there abouts.

The nights are long and cool now in our little house by the Sea, but we cannot wait to be back up in Sweetbriar and were sad not to join the fray for annual Fourth of July events there (where last year Lee Guthrie demonstrated the fine art of cutting in line ahead of 100 people waiting at the streetfair for one of those little green houses...he gives me many things to look forward to after the age of 80 and WILL be at the wedding...watch out!).

More tule, more planning, more memories to plan to make...and I'm off!
