SWEETBRIAR is adjacent to many small towns with good values, adventure and fine accomodation depending on your needs.

See DUNSMUIR, CA or CASTELLA, CA or LAKE SHATSTA, CA or lower down and about an hour south REDDING, CA. (call colleen for ideas at 650-580-2505)

To get to Sweetbriar, head NORTH on Interstate-5 just above the 505 cutoff Highway 80.

SWEETBRIAR is most accessible from the SACRAMENTO Airport, but not impossible and a lovely drive from SFO as well as PORTLAND.

Once you get above Lake Shasta on Interstate 5 take the SWEETBRIAR offramp and follow the signs to the wedding.

PLEASE WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES AND BRING SUNBLOCK - we will be asking folks to leave their cars at the RAILROAD TRACKS on the road just before it. We will have guides with orange and green balloons on hand to help you and signs posted. Depending on the heat and all as many as we can ferry we will in cars up to River Ranch, altho its a lovely walk accross the bridge and up Snow Lane to the very end - signs and guides along the way to help you.

(Another wedding party hired a limo for the shuttle task and such a nice idea till it could not get over the railroad tracks. parking is very very limited and in the end you will agree the spot for the ceremony is worth it. Please bear with us. If you need a ride you've got one !)

If you're coming DOWN from Oregon, please keep an eye out 20 minutes after Lake Shasta (city) and Dunsmuir and then Castella. If you see the water of the lovely lake you have gone TOO FAR - turn around at LakeHead and come on back!
